5. United and Continental merged in 2010
In 2010, United and Continental Airlines decide to acquire a domestic partnership after Delta and Northwest became a company. Even though the merger was going on, but the two airlines remained separate until the operation was over in 2012.

United Airline created history by becoming the first American airline in the world to start using durable aviation biofuels for scheduled flights. The mission starts in On March 11, 2016.
7. United launch customer of the Boeing 777
United was the launch customer of Boeing 777 and Boeing 767. In 1995, United was the first airline to launch 777. The aircraft was used for the first time from London to Washington Dulles International Airport. Dreamliner was the first American carrier to fly American airline for the Boeing 787.

United incorporated West Virginia, Mississippi, Wyoming, and North Dakota into their root network. Due to being the only airline to reach every state. United challenged their frequent flyer members that they would fly 50 states in 50 days.
9. First Female Flight Attendant
Ellen Church was the first Lady Flight Attendant in 1930. She went to the Sky from Oakland to United Airlines flight to Chicago. Prior to 1930 flight attendants were all men. When the church and its early female friends started flying, they usually had to go as a registered nurse for Air Traveler.
